Barcelona Information
For visitors to Barcelona, the city offers a variety of attractions, including
Mediterranean weather, sunshine and, compared to central and northern Europe,
a relatively warm climate, mainly in the late winter months. Barcelona is
known for its large variety of good restaurants, the Ramblas Boulevard is a
pleasant pedestrian street near the ancient part of the town. One of
Barcelona's most famous attractions are the city's buildings themselves: a
mixture of great architectural design including the Gaudi buildings. On the
Ramblas de Catalonia you may find the house in
which Gaudi worked and lived, which is today a museum. We shall add a
comprehensive listing of recommended sites to visit on our website
www.elevcon.com.

ELE-ESPANA-2009
- the three days of extensive trade fair will provide a unique
professional experience for both
Spanish and
international visitors. It will be the fourth
occasion in which international visitors will be
able to meet and network with such a large variety of Spanish companies, and
will enable Spanish speaking engineers, including Americans (Spanish is 2nd
language), Central and South Americans to meet in a Spanish language
professional venue. Following the success of the predominantly local
exhibitions for the German, Italian and British industries - the focus should
now be Spain's thriving elevator market. Barcelona is one of Europe's most
exciting cities,
Renowned for the success of the 1992 Olympic Games, its Gaudi architecture,
Mediterranean atmosphere and vibrant nightlife. ELE-ESPANA showcases the
Spanish elevator industry in a prominent position among its European
colleagues.
ELE-ESPANA 2009 is
planned to provide a larger space than the
previous event. Due to the forecasted demand we have arranged a space of over
8,000 sqm for the exhibition.
ELE-ESPANA Publicity
- in order to bring international awareness of the event to the professional
elevator industry, printed invitations will be sent by direct mail worldwide
using the data base of IAEE, of Vertical Report and visitors' data collected
at the last fair, emphasizing Spain and Spanish speaking countries. The
ELE-ESPANA website will provide online updated information, and all the
professional elevator media / magazines will carry full page advertisements

ELE-DAY 2009 Regional Spanish Conference 2009
:-
In
conjunction with Ele-Espana 2009 we plan a new edition of an IAEE regional
conference on “Elevator Technologies” on “Elevator
Marketing in Europe”.
Spanish Associations meetings: all leading Spanish associations were invited
to hold their annual meetings at Fira Barcelona during the exhibition days.
ESPN 2007 –
Short Summary
ESPN 2007 took place at La
Farga de l’Hospitalet Exhibition Centre near Barcelona for 3 days between
23-25 May 2007. In the Ele-Espana
07 exhibition the Spanish industry demonstrated real maturity: superb
equipment, high quality exhibits and beautiful stand designs. It was very
interesting for the professional visitor. The full power of the Spanish
industry was clearly shown: operational 2-3 story elevators, doors,
accessories and high quality components. The international stands also stood
up well. The number of foreign stands increased as well as the number of
foreign visitors, which were mainly elite Italian manufacturers, as well as
few stands by British, German, Turkish and French companies. The total size of
the 2007 exhibition increased by 50% in comparison to the 2005 event.
Altogether over three hundred companies exhibited in an area of 8,000 sqm.
with more than 100 stands.
The entrance was controlled
by electronic registration, where printed nametags were supplied to all
visitors. A total of 4,500 visitors came during the 3 day event. 25% of
visitors were from other countries, including South America. We also have to
give credit to the city of Barcelona fir this success. For the thousands of
visitors, Barcelona was an attraction of its own. Pleasant weather, many
famous city attractions, Mediterranean atmosphere and a city that is open 24
hours a day non-stop, unlike many other European exhibition cities
